What part of 242 has impacted you the most and why?
Like I said above, Randy has been an inspiration in my life. I consider him one of the very few people I look up to. With that being said, the retreats have also impacted me in a deep way. There is no better example of God’s beauty on earth than Westminster Woods.

The best 242 social event is...
anything that goes on during the summer because, frankly, shorts and flip-flops do more for me than jeans and a sweatshirt.
Funniest 242 moment?
Although I wasn’t there, hearing the story of Ariel and being a ninja in his sleep is pretty priceless. Next time you see Ariel’s better half, Katy, make sure to ask her for more stories of Ariel and his sleep walking adventures. It’s only a matter of time before he winds up in Salina at 4:30 in the morning.
Why is 242 different than other Christian groups?
It’s different because we accept EVERY person of any belief or no belief at all. There are no judgments or pre-conceived notions — just you being a child of God.
Tell us a little about yourself...
I’m 24 years old, born and raised in Wichita and I have little, if any, desire to leave. I’m a sports writer for The Wichita Eagle and also produce a local sports talk radio show called “Sports Daily.”
If God had made you an animal, which one would you be and why?
For the record, I have been sitting here for 30 minutes trying to come up with an answer to this question…still no luck. Sorry to those who really cared what kind of animal God would have made me.
