The retreats, the worship, the people and the events are all tied…so everything! God has truly blessed me with the presence of 242 in my life, and every time I am with 242-ers in any setting, it’s amazing!
If Doug Biggs and Nick Ireland got in a fight, who would win and why?
I have a feeling the fight would be a close one, but I’m going to go with Doug because he could maybe send Nick into a giggle fit for a second and overpower him. Although both of them are extremely witty, so it really could go either way. Can we make this happen and find out??
What’s on your iPod right now?
Tenth Avenue North is probably the best thing to hit Christian music in a while. I’m also enjoying Phil Wickham, Imogen Heap, Regina Spektor, Ingrid Michaelson, etc.
What part of 242 has impacted you the most and why?
The retreats! I have gone to an unusually high number of retreats and Christian camps over the years, but nothing has ever compared to how amazing 242 retreats are! God has caused my life to do a complete 180 there, and each of them have been incredible experiences with Christ, as well as brought me some of my closest friends and best memories.
What verse is God currently using in your life?
Romans 8:18-25. I’m learning to live with an eternal perspective for future glory rather than for the things of this earth that won’t last. And it’s not easy!
The best 242 social event is…
The spring prom because, well, I’m a girl who likes to get dressed up every now and then : ) Plus, it’s a great way for people to try out 242, and they usually end up sticking around because it’s so much fun!

Why is 242 different than other Christian groups?
It’s authentic. Really. The people are transparent, the worship is real, the relationships are deep. You can’t ask for a better place to love the Lord and build friendships!

I was born and raised in Wichita and love it here. I got a degree in Communication from Wichita State in May 2008 and now I do communications for Eastminster and absolutely love it! So, if you don’t like this Web site… please don’t tell me about it : )
If God had made you an animal, which one would you be and why?
Hmmm…We played this game in high school, and I was told I would be a doe because I’m graceful (ha!), gentle and have big brown eyes that say “pet me!” So I guess I’ll go with that!
